Hala Al Turk (Arabic: حلا الترك) is a Bahraini singer. She became popular when she was selected for Arabs Got Talent in 2011.[1] She subsequently signed to Platinum Records. The song "Nami Wa Jaa 'Al Qamar" (نامي وجاء القمر) exists as one song although it consists of two songs.[2][clarification needed].

Song "Happy Happy", which Al Turk recorded in 2013, had been viewed more than 100 million times on YouTube by mid-2015.[3]

In February 2016, it was announced that Al Turk was nominated for Favourite Arab Act at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.[4]

Controversy

A Snapchat of Hala Al Turk was leaked to the public after she sent it to a classmate. This sparked a huge controversy, and she has yet to recover from this blow. She also takes many pictures and videos, such as pictures showing her shoulders and videos of her hugging men, that are considered extremely controversial by the Bahraini populace.

There are many controversies surrounding her family life, as her father divorced and remarried to the Moroccan Dounia Batma, and the populace is split between who she should live with.[6]
