Halvard Bjørkvik

Halvard Bjørkvik (born 9 October 1924) is a Norwegian historian. He was born in Finnøy. He was manager of the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History from 1975, and was appointed professor at the University of Oslo from 1984. His research focus was on agrarian history. Among his publications are Jord-eige og jord-leige i Ryfylke i eldre tid from 1958, and Kven åtte jorda i den gamle leilendingstida? from 1972. He was decorated with the King's Medal of Merit in 2006.[1][2]
