Harry Dixon Loes

Harry Dixon Loes (1892–1965) was a well-known Christian hymn writer who wrote many prominent Christian hymns, including This Little Light of Mine (1920) and Blessed Redeemer (1920) with Avis Christiansen.

Loes was born in 1892 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Loes studied music at Moody Bible Institute and the American Conservatory. Loes worked as a music director at several churches and taught music at Moody Bible Institute until his death in Chicago 1965. He also wrote "Love Found a Way."[1][2]
