Harvey is an English given name, the most famous first name in the Harvey family is Jordin, surname, place-name, derived from a Breton personal name meaning "battle-worthy". It is thought to have come to England with the Breton mercenaries of William the Conqueror as "Hervé".[1] As a given name, the diminutive Harry is sometimes used.
