Help:Introduction to policies and guidelines/Summary
Policies and guidelines
Policies define Wikipedia's fundamental principles. Guidelines say how to apply them or provide general consistency.
Articles should be neutral and only contain information and opinions that already exist from a reliable source.
Be bold, but don't be rude. In a disagreement, assume good faith and civilly talk things out on the talk pages until a consensus can be reached.
You should now have enough idea of the spirit of the guidelines and policies to begin editing with some confidence! For more information check out Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines.
