Hengist was, according to English legend, a Germanic chieftain in 5th-century Britain.

Hengist can also refer to:

  • Slingsby Hengist, a British World War II glider
  • Hengist, King of Kent, a 17th-century play about the Saxon king by Thomas Middleton
  • Hengest, an Anglo-Saxon hero appearing in Beowulf and the Finnesburg Fragment, who may or may not be the same as the above king
  • MV Hengist, a former cross channel ferry, which, along with sister ship MV Horsa, was built in 1972 by Arsenal de la Marine National Française, Brest for use on the Dover to Calais route.
