Capt Henry Whitby, Royal Navy

Henry Whitby was a captain in the Royal Navy. He fought during the French Revolutionary Wars and Napoleonic Wars. He joined the navy in 1794 as a Midshipman.[1] He was in command of the HMS Leander (1780) and HMS Centaur (1797). He married the second daughter of John Nicholson Inglefield.[2]
