Captain Hodgson (dates of birth and death unknown) was an amateur English cricketer.

Hodgson represented pre-county club Hampshire in a single first-class match in 1817 against the Marylebone Cricket Club. Hodgson also played a single first-class match for W Ward's XI in the same year.

It is unknown whether Hodgson's title of Captain is a military or nautical rank or simply a nickname.
