Hoefler Text is a contemporary serif Antiqua font that was designed for Apple Computer in order to demonstrate advanced type technologies. Hoefler Text was designed to allow typography on its highest level and adopts the looks of classic fonts. Hoefler Text was developed by Hoefler & Frere-Jones.

Hoefler Text uses Apple Advanced Typography and allows the use of automatic ligatures, the round and long s, real small capitals, old style figures and swashes. Hoefler Text also has a matching ornament font available.

Hoefler Text has come with Mac OS X since version 10.3 (Panther). It is the font used in the Wikipedia logo.
