The flag of the United States.

   * 50 white stars on a blue field, 13 red and white stripes.
   * In use since 4 July 1960, when Hawaii was added as the 50th US state.
   * Designed by Robert Heft in 1958

The flag of Canada

   * The official ceremony inaugurating the new Canadian flag was held on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on February 15, 1965
   * Design by George F.G. Stanley in 1964
