School or home type demonstration of the suction principle of the Leonardo type IC engine. Otto's first production IC engine also used expansion energy, stored by the weight of the piston, which supplied power on the down stroke.

I don't remember the reference. It was one of the books that my father read to me, and that made high-school physics such a party for me. David R. Ingham 04:08, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
