Intelligence requirement

An intelligence requirement (IR) relates to any form of intelligence (information) required by a decision maker within an intelligence agency. This information is obtained by sending a request to the proper intelligence agency. Responding to and evaluating intelligence requests are important elements of the intelligence cycle.
