The International Society for Cultural and Activity Research, or ISCAR, was founded in 2002 with the merging of two organisations formed in the earlier 80's: the 'International Society for Cultural Research and Activity Theory' and the 'Conference for Sociocultural Research'. It is focussed on sociocultural theory and its application to practice.
