International Sociology is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering the field of sociology. The editor-in-chief is Christine Inglis (University of Sydney). It was established in 1986 and is published by Sage Publications on behalf of the International Sociological Association.[1] The journal publishes both theoretical and empirical papers using qualitative and quantitative approaches.

Abstracting and indexing

The journal is abstracted and indexed in Academic Search Premier, Current Contents, Worldwide Political Science Abstracts, Scopus, and the Social Sciences Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2013 impact factor is 1.000, ranking it 55th out of 138 journals in the category "Sociology".[2]
