Ion Dezideriu Sîrbu (also known as Ion Desideriu Sârbu or I. D. Sîrbu; June 28, 1919, Petrila-September 17, 1989, Craiova) was a Romanian philosopher, novelist, dramatist, essayist and dramatist. A university professor and theater critic, he was a vicitm of the communist regime, spending much of his late life as a political prisoner. His main novel, Adio Europa ("Goodbye Europe"), was published posthumously.
