Ionuţ Popa (born 17 April 1953 in Săvârşin) is a Romanian football coach and former player. He was the coach of Liga I team Politehnica Iaşi from 2004, when they promoted, until January 2009, being the longest serving coach in Liga I up to date. The reason he quit the job was lack of funds. The post was taken by Cristiano Bergodi.[1]
