Irchester United F.C. are a football club based in the village of Irchester, near Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, England. They are members of the Spartan South Midlands League Division One.

History

Irchester United Football Club was formed in 1883. They joined the Northamptonshire League briefly for one season in 1896–87. They rejoined in 1930, the league changed its name to the United Counties Football League in 1934, and the club left the league in 1936.[1] Irchester rejoined the United Counties League Division One in 1969, and changed its name to Irchester Eastfield F.C. in 1980. However, after a decade under the new name, the club reverted to United in 1990.[2] In 2009–10, the club secured its first league title, gaining promotion to the Premier Division. The club entered the FA Cup for the first time in 2011–12, however they were knocked out in the Extra Preliminary Round.[1]

The first team is managed by Steve Sargent. The Reserves are managed by Mark Walker, and the Under 18s are managed by David Cockings.
