Ismaili Jamatkhana is a place of congregational worship for Shia Ismaili Muslims. Ismailis belongs to Shia branch of Islam who followed Ali (son-in-law and cousin of Muhammad) as a successor and First Imam after his death. The Aga Khan, 49th Imam of Ismailis, is a direct descendant of Muhammad and Ali. Jamatkhana is the place where Ismailis get together twice a day to perform their daily prayers and religious obligations.
