J.C. Moore was the fourth head college football coach for the University of Texas at Arlington Mavericks located in Arlington, Texas and he held that position for eight seasons, from 1925 until 1932. His career coaching record at UT Arlington was 41 wins, 29 losses, and 3 ties. This ranks him fourth at UT Arlington in total wins and fourth at UT Arlington in winning percentage.[1]

The school discontinued its football team after completion of the 1985 season.[2]
