Jack Shirley is an American record producer, audio engineer and musician. He is best known for his work with post-black metal band[1] Deafheaven, whose second album Sunbather (2013) received a critical acclaim.[2] Shirley also worked with various other music acts, including Loma Prieta, Bosse-de-Nage, Punch, Whirr, La Bella, State Faults and Frameworks.[3][4][5][6] Besides his production work, he plays guitar for the bands Comadre and Everybody Row.[7][4]

Shirley is also the owner of The Atomic Garden Recording Studio, located in Palo Alto, California.[8]
