James Bowler (civil servant)

James Bowler, CB is a senior British civil servant, Director General for Tax and Welfare having previously worked as a Director for Strategy, Planning and Budget at HM Treasury James was promoted to Director General in April 2015.[1] He served as Principal Private Secretary to the Prime Minister from 2010 until December 2011. He was appointed Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB) in the 2012 New Year Honours.[2]
