Jan Høiland performs at the Festival of North Norway 2007

Jan Høiland (born 6 February 1939 in Stavanger) is a Norwegian singer, who lived for many years in Harstad. The song "Tio tusen röda rosor" by Thore Skogman was the biggest hit for Jan Høiland. Today, this is the song which is most associated with Jan Høiland [1]. Accompanied by Finn Våland on piano, he made his debut at Cafe Inger in Stavanger in 1957, followed by his record debut "Det vil komme av seg selv"/"Dormi-dormi-dormi" (1958), on Columbia. These were Norwegian 78 records.
