Jan van Noordt (1623, Amsterdam – 1681, Amsterdam?), was a Dutch Golden Age painter.

Biography

According to the RKD he signed his works with "Noordt".[1] Noordt was a pupil of Jacob Adriaensz Backer at the same time as the painter Abraham van den Tempel.[1] He lived on the Bloemgracht in Amsterdam in 1674.[1] He was the teacher of the painter Johannes Voorhout and is known for italianate landscapes, portraits, and historical allegories.[1]
