Jason Hughes (born 18 December 1971) is an actor known for playing lawyer Warren Jones in the BBC TV series This Life from 1996 to 1997 (and the 2007 special), and as Detective Sergeant Ben Jones in Midsomer Murders between 2005 and 2013.

Hughes joined the National Youth Theatre as a teenager,[1] before going on to study drama at LAMDA, where he won the Alec Clunes Award for Best Actor. When he first moved to London, he shared a house with fellow Welsh actor Michael Sheen.[1] He reveals in 2013 he gave up Midsomer Murders because of the relentless commute he endured almost every day for ten months of the year and was beginning to affect his health.[2]
