Jason Sokol is an American historian and an Associate Professor at the University of New Hampshire.

Sokol has published many articles, including (as of 2006) the most recent: Past Imperfect in American Prospect. His first published book is There Goes My Everything: White Southerners in the Age of Civil Rights 1945-1975.

Sokol's second book All Eyes Are Upon Us: Race and Politics from Boston to Brooklyn will be published in late 2014.
