The Javan sunbird or scarlet sunbird (Aethopyga mystacalis) is a species of bird in the Nectariniidae family. It is endemic in Javan and Bali, Indonesia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
