Jay Hambro

Jay Hambro is a businessman known for being the Chairman of IRC Limited. He was previously chief executive officer of Aricom between 2006 and 2009 and subsequently Chief Investment Officer of Petropavlovsk PLC - the FTSE listed gold and iron ore miner. Jay Hambro used to be business development director of Petropavlovsk, which has become very rapidly the second largest gold producer in Russia, having started out as a junior exploration company in 1994. Prior to joining, Jay was a manager of the Metals & Mining corporate finance team within HSBC Investment Bank. Jay began his career in the resource finance team at N M Rothschild & Sons. Mr Hambro is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. He is among the most well-known and well-respected mining industry leaders. Jay and his wife Alexandra have two daughters.
