Baron Jean Antoine Théodore de Gudin (Born in Paris, Aug. 15, 1802, died at Boulogne-sur-Seine, April 11, 1880) was a French painter of the 19th century. He especially painted navy scenes, and was a pupil of Girodet-Trioson.[1] Gudin was official painter for the French Navy, at the court of Louis-Philippe and Napoleon III.
