Jean McNeil is a Canadian fiction and travel author.

She grew up on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. She presently lives in London, England.

Awards and recognition

  • 2003: finalist, Governor General's Award for English-language Fiction, Private View
  • 2012: Winner, Prism International Creative Non-Fiction Prize for an extract from "Ice Diaries"
