Jim Desmond, 58, is an American politician and serves as the Mayor of San Marcos, California. Desmond was elected Mayor in 2006 and re-elected in 2010 and 2014 without opposition.[1] A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Desmond serves as Mayor while concurrently working as a pilot for Delta Air Lines since 1986. Desmond is married to his wife and has two children, both of whom graduated from UC universities in California.[2][3][4] He has been part of the Kiwani's club.
