Jinshi Township (simplified Chinese: 锦石乡; traditional Chinese: 錦石鄉; pinyin: Jǐnshí Xiāng) is an rural township in Xiangtan County, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, People's Republic of China.[1] As of the 2000 census it had a population of 29,896 and an area of 56.7 square kilometres (21.9 sq mi).

Administrative division

The township is divided into 23 villages, the following areas: Tangjiahu Village (唐家湖村), Chuntang Village (纯塘村), Dahe Village (大荷村), Jinpan Village (金盘村), Jinhu Village (金湖村), Jinshi Village (锦石村), Dongbianshan Village (东边山村), Cangyang Village (苍场村), Wenjia Village (文佳村), Daqiao Village (大桥村), Taiyang Village (太阳村), Huishui Village (洄水村), Shengli Village (胜利村), Dongfeng Village (东风村), Jianfeng Village (剑峰村), Xin'an Village (新安村), Guihuating Village (桂花亭村), Fengshuba Village (枫树坝村), Biquan Village (碧泉村), Baikuang Village (柏圹村), Qingtang Village (清塘村), Quanjia Village (泉佳村), and Ouhuatang Village (莲花塘村).

Attractions

Biquan Deep (碧泉潭) is the scenic spot in the town.

Culture

Huaguxi is the most influence local theater.
