Joaquim Manuel Durão (born 25 October 1930) is a Portuguese chess player. An International Master, he was 13 times Portuguese champion, represented his country in ten Chess Olympiads,[1] and was president of the Portuguese Chess Federation.

Still an active player, his Elo is currently 2056.

He was born in Lisbon.
