Joe Forte is an American painter and filmmaker.

Born in New Jersey, he is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. As a screenwriter Forte is best known for Firewall, the 2006 thriller starring Harrison Ford and the 2005 film, Say I Do. As a painter he is known for Wonder, a solo exhibition of his baseball card (paintings), which was shown at Bergamot Station's James Gray Gallery, Santa Monica, CA, in Oct-Nov of 2008. He is the director of the upcoming documentary Storyteller: The Wonderful, Magical Life of the Man Who Saved Ben Hur.

Forte lives in Los Angeles, United States and has been a mentor, teacher, consultant and panelist for UCLA, the Sedona Film Festival, Scriptfest, Cinestory, Film Victoria (Australia) and New South Wales (Australia).
