Johann Adalbert Angermeyer (1674 – 1740), was a Bohemian (German-Czech) painter.

Biography

He was born in Bílina and became the pupil of Johann Rudolf Byss.[1] He was influenced by the still lifes of Cornelis de Heem and Roelant Savery, and became the teacher of Caspar Hirscheli.[1] He is known for works with animals, fruit and flower still lifes, and hunting pieces.[1] He is probably related to the 18th-century German painter Antonius Angermeyer.[2] He died in Prague.
