Sir John Fraser, 1st Baronet, of Tain
Appearance
John Fraser was the Principal of the University of Edinburgh from 1944 to 1948. He was Regius Professor of Clinical Surgery at Edinburgh University from 1927 to 1946.
He was the first surgeon in Britain to ligate an uninfected ductus in 1940.[1] Fraser House (now renamed Holland House) and Fraser Court at Pollock Halls of Residence were named after him.
