John P. Flaherty Jr. (born November 19, 1931)[1] was a Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania from 1978 to 2001 and Chief Justice of the Court from 1996 to 2001. He retired at the end of 2001.[2] His seat as Justice was filled by Michael Eakin.[2]
