Johnny Hale (died April 14, 1881), aka John Hale, was a Texas rancher and cattle rustler.

Hale was responsible for igniting the bloodiest gunfight in El Paso, Texas which is known as the Four Dead in Five Seconds Gunfight. This resulted in the death of El Paso Constable Gus Krempkau. After fatally gunning down Krempkau, Hale was, himself, also fatally gunned down a few seconds later with a .45 caliber bullet from a newly appointed Town Marshal Dallas Stoudenmire. This incident was witnessed by a violence-hardened town who were now intimidated with fear of his fierce reputation. Marshal Stoudenmire gunned down three men in roughly 5 seconds while Krempkau was killed by Hale.
