Józef Michał Juszyński de armis Twardost (18 September 1793 – 24 November 1880) was a Bishop of the Diocese of Sandomierz.
Biography
[edit]Juszyński was born in Bieliny. He attended seminary in Kielce between 1812 and 1815, and was ordained in 1816 by Wojciech Górski, the bishop of Kielce.[1][2] After he was ordained, he was hired as a teacher of mathematics;[3] he also taught Latin and religion at a school in Sandomierz.[4]
Juszyński was appointed Bishop of Sandomierz on 16 April 1859;[2] he was consecrated on 10 July 1859 by Antoni Melchior Fijałkowski, assisted by Jan Dekert, titular bishop of Halicarnassus, and Henryk Ludwik Plater, titular bishop of Mosynopolis.[5] He died on 24 November 1880.[3]
