Keneti James "K. J." Apa[1] (born June 16, 1997) is a New Zealand actor. He is known for playing Kane Jenkins in the New Zealand prime-time soap opera Shortland Street. In 2016, he was cast as Archie Andrews in Riverdale after a four-month worlwide talent search.[2]

Personal life

K.J. Apa was born in Auckland,[3] the son of Tessa and Keneti Apa. He has two older sisters; Ari and Timena.

He has a significant social media presence, accumulating more than 45,000 Instagram followers by late 2014. His account now has over 102,000 followers.[4]
