Kar2ouche was an educational software product developed by Immersive Education, a joint project between Oxford University and Intel that started in 1999.[1][2] In 2001, Kar2ouche won the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) Educational Resource Award for ICT.[3]

Immersive Education was originally started by Ian Maber who was an ex Creative Director for Sony Psygnosis and later Creative Director for Elixir Game Studios. The original Kar2ouche -like all good ideas- was the result of an idea between Lloyd Sutton (also ex Psygnosis) and Ian Maber and created at 2.ooam
