Karen Johnson is an American violinist.

She began her studies at the age of 4 in Gilbert, Arizona, and went on to win many prestigious competitions such as the Corpus Christi International Young Artist Competition, the Midland-Odessa National Young Artist Competition, the Juilliard Sibelius Violin Concerto Competition, the Hudson Valley Philharmonic and the Jefferson Symphony Competitions, the Music Academy of the West Festival Competition, and the Music Teachers National Association Yamaha String Competition. She has served as the concertmaster of the Juilliard Orchestra and of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra. She is currently serving as concertmaster of The "President's Own" Marine Band Chamber Orchestra.
