History
The focus of Karlsruhe University of Education is on educational processes in social, institutional and cultural contexts. In the year 1962 the university was established, although teacher training can be traced back to the year 1757. With 3742[2] students, about 180 researchers and lecturers and about 90 administrative staff members, the university affords a high-quality standard for educational studies.
Region
Karlsruhe is an attractive region for educational studies and research. Every year it offers many cultural events. Especially the ZKM is well-known for its art events.
The Karlsruhe campus
The campus of Karlsruhe University of Education is located near the center of Karlsruhe. There are three buildings on the main Campus and another near the Cooperative State University Karlsruhe.
