Kathryn Ainsworth is an Australian professional netballer who has played netball in Australia and in the United Kingdom.

Born in January, 1985, Ainsworth was raised in Ballina, NSW, Australia where she lived until she was 18. In that period she played netball for NSW at U17 and U18 level, whilst also completing a scholarship at the New South Wales Institute of Sport, then later the North Coast Academy of Sport after moving to Queensland.

She moved to Brisbane, QLD, Australia after high school (2004) and became captain of the Queensland under-21 side in 2006.[1] Between 2007-2009 she played for Suncoast Lynx, Caboolture in QLD Division 1.

In 2010 she moved to London, UK - where it was suggested she try out for Surrey Storm;[2] she was selected for their elite squad in 2011 and played five seasons with the team, playing in four finals and winning two titles with Surrey Storm in 2015[3] and 2016. She also played in the game which currently holds the UK domestic attendance record for netball - Netball London Live 2016.[4][5]

In 2016/17 season Ainsworth took a hiatus from the sport, but still trains with Wasps netball.
