Ketevan "Keti" Topuria (Georgian: ქეთევან "ქეთი" თოფურია born September 9, 1986, in Tbilisi),[1] also sometimes known as Keta Topuria (Georgian: ქეთა თოფურია), is a Georgian singer and the current lead vocalist for the Kazakh group A-Studio. She currently lives in Russia.

Biography

Topuria's late father, Andro Topuria, was a Georgian crime lord[2][3] and her mother, Natalia Topuria, is a chemical engineer.[1] They have some Italian and Polish roots.[4]

Topuria has been involved in music since childhood. In 1998, she graduated from Gogi Sudradze Music School in Tblisi, and in 2003, graduated music school with a specialty in vocals. Also in 2003, Topuria was accepted into the State University of Georgia psychology department, but declined after being selected to replace Polina Griffith in the group A-Studio and moved to Moscow. In March 2005, she was introduced as the new vocalist for A-Studio, which is her position to this day.[4]
