Kevin Molloy is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with the Antrim senior inter-county hurling team and has been a member of the panel since 2011. He made his senior Antrim debut on 14 May 2011 against Laois in the 2011 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, starting at left corner back in the 1-21 to 3-12 victory.[1][2]
Kevin plays his club hurling for Dunloy Cuchulainns and is considered a hero within the village. He has one senior championship medal, won in 2009. He considers this as the peak of his career. When asked what the lowest point in his career was he replied, 'well there are two moments which stand out to me. When i got sent off against Ballygalget in the 2012 league fixture, i felt as though i let the team and village as a community down but i think the lowest has to be playing for Antrim against Wexford in the Leinster Championship in 2011, Rory Jacob gave me a run around scoring 1-4 from play.'
Kevin would consider himself a club hurler as he prefers playing alongside his friends. He stated that going to training and training with players like Liam Richmond, Joe 'the postman' Smyth and Shane Dooey is what made him the player he is today.
