Kharota Syedan is a village on the northern outskirts of Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan.[1] The villages has community services such as primary and secondary education, a post office, mosques, and banks. The town has utilities including gas, electricity, water, and telephone communications.

Geography

Kharota Syedan lies on the outskirts of Sialkot township. It is about 250 km southwest of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. To the west is the Chenab river. To the east are the mountains of the Himalayas. There is also buried many saints (DARWESH-WALI ALLAH). namely. That's i know one is Hazrat Miran Muhammad Sadiq Sahib, Hazrat Salahulldin Sahib, Peer Syed Fatah Ali Shah, Peer Syed Nazir Hussain Shah and the other one is Peer Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah actually the name of the village is famous from Hazrat Salahulldin sahib.when he came in the village kharota, and spread teaching of isalam, after his teaching the village known as Kharota Syedan. Political Personalities of this village Ex Chairman Ilyas Hussain Shah, Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Rizvi (Lala G), Syed Tanveer Hussain Shah (Late), Syed Qaisar Abbas Chairman Union Council Kharota Syedan, Sialkot. Social Personality Syed Riaz Hussain Rizvi (Lala G), Syed Afreen Hussain Shah, Dr Syed Muhammad Yousaf, Dr Syed Tanveer Abbas Syed Nazim Shah Syed Khurram Shah.

Governance

Kharota Syedan is a part of Sialkot township. The village is governed by a Union Council and final decisions still remain with the original owners of this village called Chaudhry's and descendants of Raja Jay ram (Hindu Jutt) and still part of the village is named after the Lodhra Jutt as Jay Ram Pur.
