Kibako is a studio album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. It was released on December 12, 2012 by the Italian label Rustblade, and is his second release on the label. Rustblade describes the album as consisting of "tribal wooden instruments, violent analogue synths and ambient soundscapes".[3]

A short trailer was posted to YouTube[4] The track "Operation Musashi" was previously released on the compilation album No Red Seas and an excerpt posted on Merzbow's SoundCloud page.[5]

Packaging

The standard edition includes 2 CDs, a postcard, a sticker, a yellow bag, a wooden amulet, and comes in a card stock box.[3] The deluxe edition includes all of that plus a bonus CD, a handmade origami hummingbird, a wooden multi-tool knife, a certificate of authenticity, and comes in a wooden box.[6]
