Klimkówka [klʲimˈkufka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Chełmiec, within Nowy Sącz County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, at the western end of the Low Beskid Mountains, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-east of Chełmiec, 7 km (4 mi) north-east of Nowy Sącz, and 72 km (45 mi) south-east of the regional capital Kraków.[1]
The village has a population of 275 (2004).
Klimkówka was founded on the initiative of the powerful Wielogłów family at the turn of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries; its fortunes reflected those of the dynasty for the next three centuries.
