Kondwai Nkhumwwa is the Minister of local government in under the Democratic Progressive Party led by Prof, Peter Mutharika Malawi. [1] In July 2018, He was elected the Vice president of the DPP for the southern region of Malawi.

Kondwani Nakhumwa is renown for his impeccable skills as a leader of parliament, a role he assumed after the dismissal of Dr George Chaponda for being allegedly involved in a corruption scandal famous known as maize-gate.
