Kumaso Province (熊曽国, Kumaso-no kuni) was an ancient province of Japan in the area of Hyūga Province on the island of Kyushu.[1] Its boundaries are within Miyazaki Prefecture.

History

The land of Kumaso is part of the tale of Yamato Takeru which is recorded in the Kojiki.[2] The history of Komaso started and ended before the Taihō Code was established at the beginning of the 8th century.
